Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FURcast (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our website and services. By using FURcast, you agree to the practices described here.

We are committed to being transparent about the data we collect and to keeping it to the minimum needed to provide the app’s features.

Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and any display name you provide. This lets us identify you and keep your saved breedings attached to your account.

Breeding records. The genetic inputs you enter for a sire and dam, and the predicted results you choose to save, are stored as breeding records linked to your account. These records belong to you and are kept private to your account.

Usage data. We track the number of calculations you have run so we can apply the free trial limit and manage your membership. We may also collect anonymous analytics about how the app is used to improve it.

AI-generated images. When you generate a predicted puppy image, a text description of the predicted phenotype is sent to our image-generation provider to produce the picture. We do not store the generated image longer than needed to display it to you.

Membership payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. We never see, access, or store your full card number or other sensitive payment details — that data is handled entirely by Stripe and is subject to their privacy policy.

We receive only a confirmation that your payment succeeded and a customer identifier from Stripe so we can link your membership to your account.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• Store and display your saved breeding records.
• Count calculations and enforce the free trial and membership limits.
• Process membership payments and manage your subscription.
• Generate predicted phenotype images on your request.
• Respond to your questions and support requests.

We use browser local storage and session storage to keep you signed in and to remember your in-progress breeding inputs between steps. We do not use advertising cookies. Any storage we use is essential to the app’s function and is kept on your own device.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the service providers we rely on to run the app:

• Stripe — to process membership payments.
• Our image-generation provider — to create predicted puppy images from a text description.
• Our hosting and database provider — to store your account and saved breedings.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FURcast, our users, or others.

We keep your account information and saved breeding records for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual breeding records at any time from the Saved Breedings page.

To permanently delete your account and all associated saved breedings, use the “Delete account” option in Settings. This action is irreversible and removes your data from our servers.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information using secure storage and access controls. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

FURcast is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your display name through your account, delete saved breedings individually, or delete your entire account through Settings. For any other privacy request, contact us at the email below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
